Hi @kris1233,

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP laptop is not allowing two-finger scrolling and the option is missing in Settings. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Check the touchpad setting in Windows
Go to Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Touchpad.
Make sure the Touchpad toggle is turned on and look for the Scroll & zoom section.

Check Device Manager for the touchpad driver
Press Windows + X → Device Manager, then expand Mice and other pointing devices or Human Interface Devices.
If you see HID-compliant touchpad, Synaptics, or ELAN touchpad, right-click and select Update driver.

Install or update the touchpad driver from HP
Search for your HP laptop model on the HP Drivers page and install the Touchpad / Synaptics / ELAN driver.
Two-finger scrolling options often disappear when the correct driver is not installed.

Check Windows Optional Updates
Go to Settings → Windows Update → Advanced options → Optional updates → Driver updates.
Install any available touchpad-related driver updates.

Restart the laptop
Restarting helps Windows reload the touchpad driver and restore gesture settings.

Check the touchpad function key
Some HP laptops allow enabling or disabling the touchpad using a touchpad key (often F5, F7, or a key with a touchpad icon).
Press the Fn key + the touchpad key to make sure it is enabled.

This usually happens when Windows is using a basic mouse driver instead of the correct touchpad driver, which removes gesture options like two-finger scrolling.

I hope this helps.
