Hi @thara1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the two-finger swipe gesture is not working on your HP Notebook touchpad, you may need to check and update your touchpad drivers. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you.

Update Drivers:

  • Press Win + X and select "Device Manager."
  • Locate and expand the "Mice and other pointing devices" category.
  • Right-click on your touchpad device and choose "Update driver."

Windows Update:

  • Make sure your Windows operating system is up to date. Sometimes, Windows updates include driver updates.

HP Support Assistant:

  • If your laptop came with the HP Support Assistant software, open it and check for updates. It often helps in updating drivers specific to your HP device.

HP Website:

  • Visit the official HP website (https://support.hp.com/) and navigate to the support section.
  • Enter your laptop model and look for the latest touchpad drivers for your specific model.

Rollback Driver:

  • If the issue started after a driver update, you can try rolling back the driver. In the "Device Manager," right-click on the touchpad device, choose "Properties," go to the "Driver" tab, and click on "Roll Back Driver" if the option is available.

Reinstall Driver:

  • In the "Device Manager," uninstall the touchpad driver, and then restart your laptop. Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.

Gesture Settings:

  • Check your touchpad settings. Right-click on the touchpad device in "Device Manager," go to "Properties," and look for a tab related to touchpad settings. Ensure that the two-finger swipe gesture is enabled.

BIOS/UEFI Update:

  • Check if there is a BIOS/UEFI update available for your laptop on the HP website. Sometimes, updating the system firmware can resolve hardware-related issues.

Check for Physical Damage:

  • Ensure there is no physical damage to the touchpad.

Always ensure that you are downloading drivers or updates from official and reputable sources to avoid potential security risks.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
