unable to get 2nd monitor to have 3440 x 1440 on hp probook 640 G8 with G5 docking

 

how do I get the 2nd monitor to display the higher resolution.  the highest it will show is 2560 x 1080

 

both the monitors are the exact same.  connected with the same type of DP cable. 

 

the docking station owner manual states I should be able to have 2 monitors with the higher resolution .
