i turn the laptop on and there is no screen display, everything was working fine on Monday then the comp did a restart, when i click the power button, there is a little LED light on the caps lock that is blinking 5 slow then 3 times fast. still no display. the power light is solid.

The LED blinks represent the embedded controller times out waiting for the BIOS and here's what you need to do:

  1. Unplug the AC power from the computer.

  2. Press and hold the power button for more than 12 seconds.

  3. Release the power button (after at least 12 seconds).

    The computer powers on and should boot normally.

  4. Re-connect the AC power to the computer.

Remove all accessory devices from the notebook.
