usb c video out for HP 15-dy2017ca

I'm trying to find out if the USB-C port is video enabled / Alternate mode.

Can I use a vga to usb-c adapter to connect a 2nd screen?

It ONLY has 1 USB Type-C™ 3.1 Gen 1 (Data transfer only, up to 5Gb/s) port which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to

  • Charge your machine
  • Connect to an external monitor with / without hub/dock/adapter
