Tell us the URL of a video that will not play, so that we can run Firefox against that URL, to try to produce the same symptoms.

I can't play any video from any news or other 3rd party site though the advertising videos play.

For that URL, the source HTML reads:

<object

 name="5749203519001_5067014667001_Flash_api"
 width="100%"
height="100%"
class="vjs-tech"
id="5749203519001_5067014667001_Flash_api"
data="//vjs.zencdn.net/swf/5.4.1/video-js.swf"

type="application/x-shockwave-flash">

<param name="movie" value="//vjs.zencdn.net/swf/5.4.1/video-js.swf">
<param name="flashvars"
value="readyFunction=videojs.Flash.onReady&amp;eventProxyFunction=videojs.Flash.onEvent&amp;errorEventProxyFunction=videojs.Flash.onError&amp;autoplay=false&amp;preload=metadata&amp;loop=undefined&amp;muted=undefined&amp;">
<param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always">
<param name="allowNetworking" value="all">
<param name="wmode" value="opaque">
<param name="bgcolor" value="#000000">
</object>

i.e., it depends on the Adobe "Shockwave-flash" plug-in being installed as a browser extension.
