You should hook up an external monitor to see if it has the same issue -- which I doubt it will.  If that display is OK, then the problem is your laptop screen -- and the only "fix" for that is a screen replacement.

How old is the laptop? How long has this been happening?

alright i’ll try checking that. i got the laptop 5 months back and this happened yesterday when my baby cousin pressed a few keys of the keyboard. i’ve been trying to find a way to figure out what she pressed but i couldn’t.

OK, see if this works ...

Go to Start and Settings. Select System >Display. Under Scale and layout, use the drop-down menu to change system scale of text, apps, and other items.

Use the drop-down menu to change display resolution to Recommended -- it might not be the default resolution.

i’ve tried it. it doesn’t works. that’s how the screen is right now:

Is this Windows 10 or Windows 11?

Also, plug in an external monitor -- as my guess is this is a settings issue and will look the same on that.

it’s windows 11

- i tried plugging it with an external monitor and the additional screen had no issue. the display was clear. is this some technical problem?

HP Recommended

I was hoping it would look the same on the external which would indicate a settings issue, not hardware.

Sounds like the screen is going out and replacing that is very expensive.

Is it still under the original warranty?

yeah that’ll be expensive. i guess it’s still under warranty as i recently got it. can there be a issue with a graphic drive or something like that? i’m really hoping it gets fixed without a high price.

HP Recommended

It's very unlikely the video chip or driver is responsible for this -- you have to look at the display on the external monitor.  If it is bright and crisp, then the screen is the sole issue.

I wish we could help you on this but we here are unable to assist you in this issue.
