Hi @Peeyushsahu123,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The yellow tint issue you’re describing on your Victus by HP 15.6-inch Gaming Laptop likely points to a hardware-related problem, particularly with the display or its mounting. Here's an analysis of the possible causes and steps you can take.
Possible Causes:
Pressure or Mounting Issue:
- The display may not be properly seated in the chassis. Over time, this can cause uneven pressure, leading to discoloration or tinting.
- The problem disappearing when pressed suggests a physical connection issue.
Display Backlight or Panel Problem:
- A defect in the LCD panel or its backlight could cause yellowing. This might become more noticeable as the panel heats up during extended use.
Heat or Thermal Expansion:
- Prolonged use may cause heat-related expansion, making an existing hardware fault more pronounced.
Recommended Actions:
Check for External Factors:
- Make sure no external pressure (e.g., from a tight laptop sleeve or objects near the edges) is being applied to the screen.
- Clean the screen gently to rule out any residue or dirt causing discoloration.
Inspect Under Low Usage:
- Use the laptop for a short period with minimal brightness and without heavy tasks to check if the problem appears. If it does not, it might be heat-related.
Perform a Hardware Test:
- Run HP’s PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI tool:
- Shut down your laptop.
- Power it on and press the Esc key repeatedly, then press F2.
- Run the display test to check for abnormalities.
Avoid Pressing the Screen:
- While pressing the screen might temporarily fix the issue, it can cause further damage over time.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
