Hi @DaveTre,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
These ports can support various functions, including data transfer, display output, and power delivery. However, whether you can use the laptop to play Xbox through the USB port would depend on several factors.
- USB Type-C Port: Check if your HP Envy x360 has a USB Type-C port that supports video input. Not all USB-C ports on laptops support video input, and you need this feature to use the laptop as a display for your Xbox.
- Xbox Compatibility: The Xbox console itself must support video output over USB. Some consoles may have this capability, but it's not a standard feature.
- Software and Drivers: You would likely need specific software and drivers on your laptop to recognize the Xbox's video signal over USB. These drivers may not be readily available or may require some configuration.
- Latency: Even if you manage to get the video signal from the Xbox to display on your laptop, you may experience latency issues. Playing games with significant latency can be challenging and may not provide a good gaming experience.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
