Hi guys.

I have HP 15-da0236ur 4PS99EA. The original wifi card is U98H134.01 2.4GHz only. I really want to support АС 5GHz Wi-Fi. Tell me which cards will work without problems in my laptop.

Thank

Hi:

You can upgrade to this dual band AC wifi card...

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.

You can find this model on eBay, or Ali Express.

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=L17365-005&_sacat=0&_sop=15

The card has the same throughput as the RTL8723DE card on the 2.4 GHz wifi band, but on the 5.0 GHz wifi band with an AC router, it has a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS.

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the wifi card removal and replacement procedure...

Thank.

However, there are cards with one antenna output, and there are two. My laptop has one antenna. Should I add a second one for 5GHz?

Sincerely.

You're very welcome.

If you want to go through the hassle of completely disassembling the notebook including the display panel area and buy the antenna kit listed in chapter 3 of the service manual, then you could install a better card such as the AX200 non-vPro.

Otherwise the card I recommended does work on the 5.0 GHz wifi band as I replied yesterday.

Thanks.

Everything is clear and intelligible.

Good luck.
