Bluetooth headphones not found

ProBook 470 G3, T6N82EA#BED
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hello, I bought new probook 4 months ago and just now I got bluetooth headphones. Instantly I got a problem. I turn on headphones and my pc doesn't find them. All my drivers are updated, I tried troubleshooting, restarting bluetooth options, deleting password from "log on" tab on "bluetooth support service" (this worked 1st time I did it but later, when I tried to connect it didn't work). Does someone know the problem and can offer me some solution?

Hi,

Please allow your headphones to be discoverable and try again. You may need to check its manual.

Regards.

Hi,

Your machine can have one of the following options:

  • Realtek 802.11b/g/n (1x1)
  • Realtek 802.11b/g/n (1x1) and Bluetooth® 4.0 Combo
  • Broadcom 802.11b/g/n (1x1) and Bluetooth® 4.0 Combo
  • Broadcom 802.11a/b/g/n (2x2) and Bluetooth® 4.0 Combo
  • Intel® Dual Band Wireless AC 3165 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (1x1) WiFi and Bluetooth® 4.0 Combo
  • Intel® Dual Band Wireless AC 8260 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (2x2) WiFi and Bluetooth® 4.2 Combo

Now, please go to Device Manager , Network adapters

(a)  Can you see Bluetooth component ?

(b) If yes, what is it ? If No what is the wireless card ?

Also go to Service and check, can you see the service is up and running ?

Hello,

Yes, I can see bluetooth components, 1st is "Bluetooth device (Personal Area Network), 2nd is "Bluetooth device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI).

I also checked in service and I saw both of those services are running.

Hi,

None of them matches the above list, they are services, not device. Looks like it does not have Bluetooth. Now what is the wireless card in Device manger, please list FULL name.

Regards.

Hi,

Please download and install Intel Bluetooth Driver for Windows 8.1 64bit:

    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72501-73000/sp72619.exe

Hope this helps.
