Hello,

i have the wireless card "Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 AC 2x2 HMC WiFi Adapter".

This cards also has bluetooth. I have been using this in the past.

Now i bought me a bluetooth mouse, but i cannot get it configured.

as i found, i need the driver: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp87501-88000/sp87906.exe
I have installed the driver and everything went well (multiple times!)

but i don't see the bluetooth icon nowhere. not in the device manager, not at the status bar...

What can i do?

thanks!

@Koen_Hendrickx

Please try

1) Run the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter.

Hold down Windows key and press S (for search)  type, "Troubleshooting" > select  HNetwork troubleshooting and follow the on-screen instructions.

2) Restart Bluetooth Support Service.

Press the Windows key + R, then type "services.msc". Once the Services window opens, locate Restart Bluetooth Support Service > right-click > Restart.

After so, right-click on it again, choose Properties, then ensure startup type is on Automatic.

Regards.

Thanks for the reply.

I tried the troubleshooting, without success. I must say that i didn't found HNetwork troubleshooting, but i did a complete search on the hardware.

i checked the services and found that 4 bluetoothservices were all started. I restarted the services and I changed all properties to 'automatically', but no success.

in the meanwhile, still no bluetooth in my device manager...

Hello,

i installed the bluetooth driver from Intel itself.

After restarting, i got the message "Device driver software was not successfully installed" -> "Device unplugged"

How can i solve this?

tx!
