Bluetooth support in HP Envy 15t-k000

Does HP Envy 15t-k000 Support Bluetooth? I can't find BT settings anywhere.

If it doesn't, then do i need a BT dongle to use BT services

Hi:

The bluetooth option is dependent on what model wifi adapter the notebook has.

If you post the full name and model number of the wireless network adapter, I will let you know if it is a combination wifi/bluetooth adapter.

If you don't know what model wifi adapter your notebook has, go to the device manager, click to expand the Network Adapters device manager category, and there you will find the name and model number of the wireless network adapter.

Hi:

The Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 802.11b/g/n Wifi Adapter is a single band, non-bluetooth capable wireless network adapter.

Your notebook does not come with built in bluetooth.

The easiest thing to do to add bluetooth to your PC. would be to purchase an external usb wireless network adapter.

Otherwise you may be able to replace the atheros card with another one listed in the service manual for your notebook that comes with built in bluetooth.

However, disassembly of the notebook is pretty involved to get to the wlan adapter location.
