Bluetooth fails to detect my stereo receiver, which I have used with bluetooth before. I ask it to add a device in Settings and I can see the searching bar going, but not result. I updated all the drivers and device manager tells me all the latest drivers are installed. I am stumped.

Hello Bobe01. What exact model is your laptop?

Greetings.

HP Recommended

It's an HP Envy x360 2-in-1 Laptop 15-fe0053dx (7H9Y3UA). My wife's Dell connected fine at the same distance.

Installed them both. No change. Any other possible things to try?

Hello Bobe01, I am going to leave you two links, one to update the Bios, and the other Bluetooth driver. Uninstall the Bluetooth driver and reinstall to see if the problem is solved.

When I click on the 4 bluetooth entries listed under bluetooth in the device driver list, the only option is to uninstall the *device*. Is this the choice to uninstall the device *driver*? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm not particularly computer-smart.

HP Recommended

Hello Bobe01, I don't think you are what you say. If you uninstall the driver and restart your computer, then reinstall the bluetooth driver.

Greetings.
