Envy x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just bought my HP Envy x360 last night to replace my previous (older) Envy which developed a problem that did not seem fixable. Now this Envy cannot seem to maintain a wifi connection for more that 5 consecutive minutes!!!!! I won't even mention the touchpad settings that seem to be lacking.

Buyer's Remorse is officially sinking in and I am kicking myself for even bothering to give HP another chance. ..my 5th btw...each one died.

*edited. is wrong with this computer??? If there is a simple setting that can be changed so be it...but I am not an IT expert, nor should I have to be to simply make this computer function as intended.

I already searched and turned off the feature that allows wifi to be turned off to save power fwiw.

You're very welcome.

See if updating the wifi and Bluetooth drivers to their latest versions, and restarting the PC, resolves the problem.

Hi:

What model wifi adapter does the PC have?

If you don't know, go to the device manager, click to expand the Network Adapters device manager category, and there you will find the name and model number of the wireless network adapter.

I didn't want to abandon the thread...or miss out on giving you your due credit. Your solution seems to have worked for now.

Now I need to get my computer to sync to my LG (widi) tv...and figure out how to allow scrolling to be reversed and I'll be happy.

P.s. this is a topic for it's own thread...but I don't want to throw away my original HP Envy 15 Beats with the scrolling volume knob...but it seems to keep developing the same problem and wont stay alive. I'm considering doing a "full" upgrade with new RAM and an SSD hard drive but don't know if that's a viable plan.

Anyone want to go down the "rabbit hole" with me?
