I am having trouble access connecting to 5GHz wifi networks and I am wondering if my laptop is capable of getting 5G?

Hi:

 

Some models come with just single band wifi adapters and some come with dual band wifi adapters.

 

What model wifi adapter does your notebook have?

 

If you don't know, go to the device manager, click to expand the Network Adapters device manager category, and there you will find the name and model number of the wireless network adapter.

I found the list of network adaptors for my laptop, but I don't know what they mean/ if they are 5ghz capable or not?

Just post the model of the wifi adapter, and I will let you know if it is a dual band wifi adapter or not.
