Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I haven't use my printer or laptop for a while,I've managed to set up my laptop to my bt broadband OK. The problem is my hp deskjet 3050 printer that won't connect to it,I have all the setup done on my laptop already when I first got the printer with the software that was given. I have tried so many ways to connect it,please someone help me with this. If u don't get it sorted I will have to buy a new printer
