I recently noticed that my laptop doesn't have Wifi Direct functionality. Is there official support for Wifi Direct for my laptop?

I'm using the Qualcomm FastConnect 6900 Wifi card.

No, You can buy WWAN option to allow your machine to work like a phone. If you wish, you can buy the following part and install to your machine

 

             Intel XMM 7560 R+ LTE-Advanced Pro (Cat 16) WWAN module part # M52040-001

I haven't got your point yet.

I need the Wifi Direct functionality to transfer files between my phone and my laptop intensively in places with no internet, so a WWAN card for LTE connection is not a viable option here.

Are you saying that my laptop does not support Wifi Direct? If so, what module can buy to add such functionality to it?
