Hi @kl_53-

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand the frustration of trying to get your printer to work wirelessly. If you're having trouble setting up your HP LaserJet Pro MFP 3301, 3304, or 3388 printer for wireless printing, there are several steps you can follow to troubleshoot the issue. Let's go through the process and common troubleshooting steps to help you resolve the issue.

1. Check Wi-Fi Connection on Your Printer

Make sure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer or device. Sometimes, printers may default to a wired connection or might not connect to the correct network after a reboot or reset.

To check the printer’s wireless connection:

  1. Control Panel on Printer: On the printer’s control panel, look for a Wireless or Network menu.
  2. Wi-Fi Status: Check the Wi-Fi icon (signal strength indicator) or go to the Network Settings to ensure the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.

If the printer is not connected, follow these steps to reconnect:

  1. On the printer’s Home screen, select Network or Wireless Settings.
  2. Look for an option to Set up wireless or Wi-Fi setup wizard.
  3. The printer will scan for available networks. Select your Wi-Fi network and enter your Wi-Fi password.

2. Check Printer's Wireless Setup via HP Smart App (or Web Interface)

  • If you’re using the HP Smart app to manage your printer, make sure it's set up properly for wireless printing.
  • Download the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store (for Windows), Google Play (for Android), or Apple App Store (for iOS).
  • Open the app, click on Add Printer, and follow the steps to connect your printer to the Wi-Fi network.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
