I have an HP Envy laptop and cannot connect to my university's secure wifi network. My computer connects automatically for about 5mins then drops out and will not reconnect, saying only that I cannot connect to this network.

The problem is that the computer should be asking me for my credentials (which I have) before connecting but it just isn't giving me that option. How can I force it to give me that option and to save those credentials?

You need to talk with IT Department of your University/College. They should be able to tell you the procedure to logon from home and/or on site.

Regards.

Thank you for the suggestion, however I had already spoken to my university's IT department before posting the question. They told me it was a device issue so they couldn't help. I also investigated every logical setting prior to contacting them. I had no issues connecting to the same network with my previous (non-HP) laptop.

It's possible that it's a Windows 10 issue. I will investigate that route but if anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate it.
