Comcast gave me a new router, and now my old laptop won't connect to internet.

So with this new router, other devices in house work fine. IT guy at work says I probably just need an updated device driver, but I don't even know where to begin. I also haven't kept up with any kind of updates on this laptop, so I'm probably using outdated Microsoft 7. Can anyone provide any assistance to someone who doesn't understand anything at all about electronica???

1) What's the model name of the computer? Click here for steps on finding the information we need. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc. 

2) Are you getting any error message? 

3) Are you using a dual band router?
