Connect to printer that's on different network (laptop on VPN to printer on home wifi)

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I can't print when I'm using the VPN. 

Can anyone suggest a workaround that makes it possible for me to print from my laptop when I'm on the VPN? (there's no way to get other devices than my laptop on that same VPN)
