@sandStormsNails,

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂 I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers. For you to have the best experience on the HP forum, you could also visit our HP Forums Guide for First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More

I understand you are in need of support,

I'll be glad to help you out, however, for an accurate solution I will need more details:

Could you provide me with the exact model of the PC? Use this link to find it:  https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03754824  (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).

Have you recently made any software or hardware changes on the PC before the issue started?

Are you able to connect to the internet using Hard wired(Ethernet connection)?

Have you checked the date and time of the notebook, and change it to the right time, also check for the timezone settings.

Have you followed any troubleshooting steps before posting this on HP Support Forums?

Are you using a proxy server? If yes, please disable it temporarily and check if the issue will persist.

Have you tried to run the built-in troubleshooter? Press the Windows and I keys simultaneously to open Settings. Click on Update & Security. Click on Troubleshoot then run the Internet Connections troubleshooter.

In the meantime, l would suggest here is to follow the steps suggested in the support document for - HP PCs - Troubleshooting Wireless Network and Internet (Windows 10)

Here's a related HP Forums post that seems to have helped others: Click here

Could you please respond to this post with the details and with the results of the troubleshooting as this will help me in further assisting you.

Eagerly waiting for your response!

that said, If the information I've provided was helpful,

give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,

that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Good Luck.

This most likely has little to do with your machine, and due to the WiFi not having Internet access. The fact that you are connected to a WiFi network doesn't mean you have an Internet connection. However, you stated: "All my other devices don't have this issue.", which makes me assume that you have other devices on the network which do have Internet access. if so, then the issue is with your PC. If you connect to the network via LAN and you acquire a connection to the internet, then I am almost certain that the problem lies in the configuration. Without any information on your laptop/network, I can tell you to try the following:

1. Check your network settings! This should be obvious. The most common causes for lack of Internet are things such as IP configurations and/or MACs and such. You can check your IP settings under

Control Panel/Network and Internet/Netowrk and Sharing Center/Change adapter settgins/[your WiFi adapter]/Internet Protocol Version 4 or Internet Protocol Version 6 (depending on what you network uses, most likely Version 4)/Properties.

I suggest setting both IP and DNS settings to automatic, but adjust to your needs.

The MAC can be changed under

Device Manager (press your WIndows key and R, type devmgmt.msc and press Enter)/Network Adapters/[your WiFi adapter]/Properties/Advanced/Network Adress

Here choose Value and typue in your new MAC in the format 00000000. Make sure you enter a valid MAC. sites ilke https://www.miniwebtool.com/mac-address-generator/ can be of great help.

Again, i'd reccomend setting it to Not set unless you have to.

2. Restarting your router. "Try turning it off and on again". Push the routers power button, wait a few seconds, and then push it again.

3. Checking the BIOS. I doubt the issue lies there, but since we're here:

Shut down your computer, press the power button, and at the HP logo press the required key. It will be displayed in a message along the lines of "Press [key] for BIOS" or "[key] to enter boot menu". Once you're in, I reccomend restoring defaults, but if not then you'll have to set the settings to the correct values.

That's it, I can't do much more without any informatiion on your setup
