Connecting hp chromebook by wifi to hp 2540 printer

HP Recommended
chromebook model 14 - ak010nr

I have hp chromebook model 14 -ak01nr, product number: N8J81UAF.  I also have an hp deskjet 2540 printer, model number: SNRB - 1204 - 02.  They both have wi-fi capability. I would like to set them up so that the chrome book can send a command to the printer to print.   "Halp!!  blub, blub, blub......"
