What is your machine ? Do you own your new router ? Sounds like your machine can not find new SSID because your machine only know 2.4GHz networks but not 5GHz networks. Your new router has 5GHz SSID.

The supplest way is to allow new router to broadcast dual bands, your machine can se 2.4GHz SSID and allow you to connect.

Regards.
