This is a recent issue for me (past couple of days) but seems to be an ongoing problem for many HP owners.

Simply if I close the lid or log out, next time I go to use the laptop I have to reconnect to wifi.

I have tried unticking boxes here and there as suggested in other posts. I am NOT computer savvy so any responses need to be idiot proof.

Thank you.

Getting really fed up with this now.  I've tried all resolutions. Now when I go to Device Manager there are no Wifi drivers Network Adapters. All that is there: 2x Bluetooth Device, Intel R Dual Band  Wireless, Realtek... and 8 WAN miniports?

If I shut the lid on the laptop and go back, I have to reconnect to my broadband. If I shut down or restart, I have to reconnect to broadband and then login, even though I've set it to have no login.

I'm back to Acer as soon as thing bites the dust. Nothing but problems since I bought it.
