Hi:

There is no whitelist in that model, but just about as bad, there may only be one Wi-Fi antenna connected to the Broadcom Wi-Fi card, and that would prevent a dual band HMC Wi-Fi card from working correctly.

I can't find any specs on your notebook.

If your notebook has two antenna wires connected to single band Broadcom card in there now...

If it has an Intel processor, you can install this card:

Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0    HP Part # 710661-001

If it has an AMD processor, you would be limited to this card.

Broadcom BCM4352 802.11ac 2x2 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.0 combo  HP part # 724935-001

Neither of the above cards are listed in the service manual, but they should work fine if your notebook has two antenna wires.
