My docking station has quit working with this computer.  It acts as if the USBC port has died.  I have made sure both ends are cleaned out, etc.  However, it keeps "cycling" when I plug it in like it is trying to connect. Then occasionally I will get a message for a while that it can't charge through the port.  I installed the current dirvers for the docking station thinking maybe there was an upgrade there -- no change.  I have two of the same station, I tried plugging in the other station.  No change.  I'm at my wits end with this.  Computer is working fine on its own and with one monitor attached to it.

I run two monitors through the docking station, one plugged into computer, one into docking station, scanner to docking station.  Wireless mouse and keyboard through the computer.  Internet through docking station.  I am thoroughly frustrated.  This is the second model of this docking station and every time after a few months I seem to have difficulties.  I need a better recommendation or need to know how to fix this.

@lalafroid

What is your HP ENVY x360 Convertible 15-cn1xxx machine ? Supplied information does not mean anything for us but it should have same ports as the following machine

                HP ENVY x360 - 15-cn1075nr

Sounds like USB-C port on the Envy is not functioning.  Can you connect other device(s) to its USB-C port ?

Regards.

I tried plugging other things into the USBC port and my conclusion is that it is not working.  I have tried blowing it out, etc.  Any other thoughts?
