ENVY says not connected to wireless but allows limited internet access

HP ENVY x360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Computer will not connect to wireless internet. Followed procedures on how to troubleshoot. I already uninstalled and reinstalled wireless adapter. Says it is not connects, but I can still access the internet. Some things will not load, for instance, Skype no network available.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:  

  • Open Device Manager, clicking Control Panel,
  • clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager.
  • In Device Manager, locate the network adapters, and then double-click the device name.
  • Click the Driver tab, and then click uninstall Driver.
  • Please remove all the network adapters.
  • Follow the prompts to restart your computer.
