Microsoft Windows 11

I have the laptop in the title. I have already tried the AX210 and AX200NGW but it doesn't work. Wifi doesn't even show in the settings. Bluetooth worked. My question is: is there any wifi 6 card compatible with my laptop?

Hi @maridas,

Thank you for your response,

The compatibility of wireless network cards with a laptop depends on several factors, including the laptop's BIOS/UEFI firmware and hardware whitelist. Laptop manufacturers often whitelist specific hardware components, including wireless network cards, to ensure compatibility and stability.

If you've already tried the Intel AX210 and AX200NGW cards without success, it's possible that they are not on the laptop's whitelist or that the laptop's firmware doesn't support them. In such cases, using a non-approved card may result in the issues you described.

To find out if there's a compatible Wi-Fi 6 card for your HP Pavilion Gaming-15, you can try the following steps:

  • Check the Laptop's Manual or Support Documentation: Refer to your laptop's user manual or visit the official HP support website for your specific model. Look for information on supported wireless network cards or any BIOS/UEFI updates that may enable compatibility with newer cards.
  • Check BIOS/UEFI Updates: Ensure that your laptop has the latest BIOS/UEFI firmware installed. Sometimes, HP release updates that add support for new hardware. Be cautious and follow the HP instructions carefully when updating firmware.
  • Consider External USB Wi-Fi Adapter: If you are unable to find a compatible internal Wi-Fi 6 card, you can always consider using an external USB Wi-Fi adapter that supports Wi-Fi 6. While it's not an internal upgrade, it can still provide you with the benefits of Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

I sent you my serial number. Does the manual list any options for a wifi 6 card?

Hi, @maridas

Since neither Intel Wi-Fi 6 card worked for you, the only suggestion I can offer would be to try one of these Realtek Wi-Fi 6 cards:

Wi-Fi 6:

Realtek RTL8852AE-VT Wi-Fi 6 Bluetooth 5.2 WLAN    HP part # M34029-005

Realtek RTL8852BE Wi-Fi 6 Bluetooth 5.2 WLAN          HP part # M91238-001

Wifi 6E:

Realtek RTL8852CE Wi-Fi 6E Bluetooth 5.3 WLAN        HP part # N19618-005.

If none of those cards work either, then I agree with Alden4 that your notebook must have a BIOS whitelist which prevents the installation of any other Wi-Fi card than the one that came with your notebook from working.

Unfortunately, HP only has the service manual for the older 15-ec0xxx model series available on the 15-ec1000 model series' support page and that won't be of much help to you.
