My laptop had a problem with the wifi for several days, I do not have wifi subscription but sharing wifi from my phone to the laptop. In recent days it can't even load a website nor let me play my games. When I use network troubleshooter it says my laptop need to connect with an Ethernet cable while HP network diagnostics said no problem.

What should I do ? Do I really need Ethernet cable to deal with it ?

Hi@T_King,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Not required, you need a stable internet connection to access the website or browse with ease. since the HP network, diagnostic tests dint find any problem. Chances are less than the wifi card has gone bad. I would recommend you to run the internet speed test & check the speed rate. Also, check if you can get the WIFI router installed for a better wifi speed or internet connection.

Hope that answers your question and you have a great day!
