Hi,

My laptop is HP 15-bs143ns

I removed the wireless adapter and I've connected a mini pci-e to ngff adapter, and at the mini pci-e I have a dual gigabit lan card.

It's not recognized, neither in Windows, Linux, nor pfSense (which is what I'm willing to install to give a second life to this laptop).

I've seen that some Motherboards have a whitelist, but also I seen on this forum that some MBs have a kind of special pci-e port which only allows wireless adapters to be connected.

I would like to know if it's the case or if I should better focus to maybe a DoA adapter or lan card.

Or otherwise, if it's the case, is there any etherner (single or dual, I don't care) that's compatible with this motherboard?

Thank you!
