HP 17 laptop-pc 17-c2000 (4V792AV) upgrading to wifi 7 possible???

That model Wi-Fi adapter should have two antenna wires connected to it and since your PC has an Intel 12th gen core processor according to the model series' specs, you can experiment with this model Wi-Fi adapter.

 

Intel BE200 M.2 2230 Wi-Fi 7 + Bluetooth 5.4 non-vPro WW WLAN module   HP part # N39883-001

 

No Wi-Fi 7 adapters were offered in the model series, but I don't know of any reason why it wouldn't work unless there is some kind of BIOS restriction that I am not aware of.

 

Also, I cannot find any posts where anyone tried to upgrade the Wi-Fi card in that model series to a Wi-Fi 7 card.
