HP Chromebook - 14-ak050nr
Chrome OS

Please help.  I have an older HP chromebook 14 ak050nr (2016 ish) Problem is network performance.  No matter whether connected to wireless 2.5 GHZ, 5  GHz, usb Ethernet hardline, my chromebook speed test always comes in at 17 Mbps.  I can sit in same room as WiFi router with iPad mini v2 and see 150Mbps.  I have a newer chromebook ($200) that hits 90bps.  Even a usb2.0 Ethernet adapter to a hardline connection shows 17Mbps.  Is the network interface that slow?  I assumed when I saw a spec saying it supported ac that it would at least get to 50Mbps.

Chrome os is up to date: 85.0.4183.84.
all devices running same speed test (spectrum speed test web page)

thanks for the help.
