HP EliteBook Folio 1040 G2 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone...hope you are well.

This is the issue that I encountered when I tried to install the DRIVERS for my HP (EliteBook Folio 1040 G2) for the first time on win10.

The problem is that I installed all the Drivers necessary for the proper functioning of the system but the Wi-Fi network card doesn't work and I couldn't start using the Wi-Fi yet... the drivers from  the website HP ((Hewlett-Packard)) are compatible but I don't know why it doesn't work ?!!!

This little problem has been going on for two month now, there's something that doesn't seem to fit... !!! In the taskbar on the right I have no Wi-Fi icon detected and in the device manager I have no wireless card installed even though I installed the compatible drivers… weird !!!

My Wi-Fi card works correctly according to the last use but when I upgraded to win10 all this created obstacles for me... need help please ? What I should do to install the right Driver Wi-Fi network Driver ?

PS : The HP cannot be connected by Ethernet cable because it does not have one... I also have two systems win7 and win10 and the same issue is on both... if there are any ideas to suggest ! THANK YOU

Yes.

The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth were disabled in the BIOS.

Now you have to install the drivers for those devices.

The Wi-Fi adapter should be listed under the Network Adapters device manager category.

Hi:

Go into the BIOS, see if the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth adapters are present and enabled.

If they are, change the setting to disabled, restart the PC and then go back into the BIOS and see if enabling the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth again gets them to show up.

The drivers won't install unless wireless hardware is showing up in the device manager.

I went to advanced option in the Bios and I found some options list like this :

- Embedded GPS Device

- Embedded WLAN Device

- Embedded Bluetooth Device

- Embedded LAN Controller

- LAN/WLAN Switching

Only Embedded GPS Device & Embedded LAN Controller are enabled... is this the place you talked about in Bios ?

After that I did enable them and I went to windows... I found two new drivers in the list of device Manager...

I think if I try to install them they do work !!!
