Hello,

 

Trying to install HP Elitebook 840 G3 Windows 10 driver pack (delivered through SCCM task sequence), and getting an issue with installing one of the drivers - Intel Power Sharing Manager.

 

Have also tried to install the individual driver itself (from the following source https://support.hp.com/gb-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-elitebook-840-g3-notebook-pc/7815294/s... ) .

 

Driver package in question is PSM.inf. The thing that has thrown me off a little bit is that there is also a PSM_P.inf, which seems to relate to the exact same set of .cat,.sys,.dll files etc. PSM_P.inf installs successfully, no issues. PSM.inf fails and it seems to be because there is a missing file (although the missing file in question is PSM.cat.tmp, which I also thought was odd).

Not even sure if this is an issue, only reason it flagged as an error is because I am installing drivers via DISM and it returned an exit code of 2 - but there doesn't seem to be any issues in device manager with drivers, and as mentioned it does successfully install PSM_P.inf.

 

Any help would be much appreciated.

I see the Intel wifi driver for windows 7 has been installed and OS deployed is Windows 10 rs2 build 15063, which might be causing the issue
C:\_SMSTaskSequence\Packages\00000471\network\intel\P00RJA-B2E\src\Win7Plus\Win64\Drivers\WinT\PSM.inf]

 

Suggest to try using the HP driverpack for windows 10 rs2
