Product: HP ENVY 15-j100ni Notebook PC

I need to replace my Wi-fi card as it keep dropping the wi-fi. 

 

it has been doing this since I got the laptop. It will work fine for couple weeks and then all of a sudden it will not connect, if t connects it drop the wifi after 10 - 15 min.

 

none of our other devices have any issues.

 

Any body know what is the best card to get for this laptop.

Hi:

 

You can upgrade to this model wifi card...

 

Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0    HP Part # 710661-001

 

You should be able to find the above wifi card on eBay.  Search by the HP part number, not the model of the wifi card.

 

Before installing the Intel card, go to the Windows control panel>programs>uninstall a program.

 

If there is any Ralink bluetooth software listed there, uninstall it.

 

Then go to the device manager, uninstall the Ralink bluetooth adapter under the Bluetooth adapters device manager category and check the uninstall driver box.

 

Do the same thing for the Ralink wifi adapter under the Network Adapters device manager category.

 

Then shut down, unplug the PC, remove the battery and install the wifi card.
