I set the HP Envy computer to BT discoverable and try to add the HP Envy BT speaker.  The speaker shows up as discoverable but will not connect to the computer.

Hi @Craig475 ,

Thanks for sharing the details.

I’m sorry to hear about the trouble with your HP Envy All-in-One's Bluetooth speaker connection. Let’s work together to get this resolved!

  • Have you successfully connected the speaker to this device in the past, or is this the first attempt?
  • Is the Bluetooth speaker visible on the device’s Bluetooth settings, and does it display any error messages during pairing?
  • Have you tested the speaker with other devices to ensure it is functioning properly?

Let's try these steps.

Ensure Bluetooth is Enabled on Both Devices

  • On your HP Envy All-in-One, go to Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices and confirm that Bluetooth is turned on.
  • Make sure the speaker is in pairing mode (consult the speaker's manual for instructions).

Remove and Re-add the Device

  • If the speaker is listed under “Paired Devices,” select it, click Remove Device, and attempt to pair again.

Restart Both Devices

  • Power off and restart both your HP Envy All-in-One and the Bluetooth speaker. This can clear minor glitches that might prevent pairing.

Check for Driver Updates

  • Open Device Manager, locate Bluetooth, right-click your Bluetooth adapter, and choose Update Driver.
  • If no updates are available, visit HP's support site to download and install the latest drivers for your Envy All-in-One 32-aoxxx.

Reset Network Settings on Your All-in-One

  • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status and select Network Reset. This will refresh Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections (note: this will require reconnecting to Wi-Fi networks).

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Yes, to all of these questions.

After Network Reset, the device is listed and can be seen when I "add device".  After I click on the device, it times out and asks me to retry.  The computer is in discover mode.  The driver update was checked and determined to be up to date.
