Microsoft Windows 11

Periodically Wi-Fi disappears

from my laptop; there’s no wifi

to select, no Wi-Fi in diagnostics and troubleshooting says Ethernet cable is not connected properly (there is no Ethernet connection).  When I go to reset Wi-Fi driver - the Wi-Fi driver is not there, so turning off power save function is not a solution.  The only way to get the Wi-Fi going again is to reboot which is tedious to say the least.

Obviously WiFi is working now and Realtek driver is there but don't think this was there when I performed this exercise when Wifi was missing.

Thanks UB.  I left the laptop for an hour which usually results in Wi-Fi disappearance - well I’m pleased to report that Wi-Fi still active and visible!  Thank you.  What puzzles me is that this has been an issue almost since I purchased the laptop and I don’t see anyone else with the same problem and HP did not advise of a potential issue like this. Admittedly I left the issue unresolved for some time but it is pretty fundamental.

Thank you - why didn’t I do it sooner?!

SteveEnvy,  I have same exact problem you had.  WIFI is totally gone.  I just got the HP Win11 laptop.  It worked fine for first couple of weeks.
