Hi! I have my HP Envy connected to an HP monitor by way of an HDMI cable. When I close the lid it loses wifi connectivity. As soon as I open it back up all is well. I'd like to use my laptop with the monitor with the lid shut. Please advise!

Because you allowed when close the lid, machine puts its wireless adapter off (similar to put your machine to sleep). Please try

(a) Open Device Manager,

(b) Locate Network adapters,

(c) Right click wireless adapter and select Properties,

(d) Go to Power Management tab,

(e) Un tick Allow the computer to turn it off .....

(f) Click OK/Apply

Regards.

Thank you for the suggestion but it wasn't helpful. I'll wait and see if someone else is able to assist.
