HP Laptop 15-DB0031NR.
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I spilled a small amount of coffee on my laptop keyboard. After drying, the machine would not boot. The only sign of lI've was a flashing light on the caps lock key: 5 long flashes followed by 3 short flashes. I used a technique that worked in the past: removing the bottom, flushing both the keyboard and circuitry with distilled water followed by flushishing both areas with 91% isopropyl alcohol,  scrubbing with qtips, another quick flush with is alcohol, followed by blotting with a clean towel and placing fans on the union for several hours. Same result.

HP wants -- $200+ for the reapair, which is ridiculous -- that's almost the cost of a new laptop. Can anyone tell me the meaning of the flashing code on the caps lock key and provide any kind of solution to my problem?

Thx...
