HP Notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there, I have been using the machine for the past few years and have had no issues to date. However, due to Covid-19 and the increase of the online meetings I started having Oline Webinar / Zoom / MS Teams meetings where the video starts freezing and/or disconnects.

however, I have a 5G Fiber Connection 150Mbps where I am comfortable with everything. Recently I've changed my HDD to SSD so was thinking to check whether the problem is due to the Network Band: 2.4Ghz and/or 5Ghz  or there's some other problem.

Appreciate if I can get a clarity on how to resolve the issue,

Regards,

Omair

Hi, Omair:

There is one model dual band AC wifi card you can upgrade to, and that is this one...

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.

You can find this model on eBay, or Ali Express,

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=L17365-005&_sacat=0&_sop=15

The card will have the same throughput as the 8723BE/DE on the 2.4 GHz wifi band, but on the 5.0 GHz wifi band, it will have a max throughput of 433 MBPS when you have an AC router with an excellent wifi signal strength.

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the wifi card removal and replacement procedure.
