I did a factory reset on this HP Notebook - 15-bw010la and now it can not find any wifi connection I did a trouble shoot and it said the wifi adapter driver

The parts list for your notebook indicates that it comes with a RTL8723DE Wi-Fi adapter.

 

Below is the link to the latest W10 Wi-Fi adapter driver HP has for that model Wi-Fi adapter:

Dumb question but how do I activate it because I downloaded it and transfer the file to the laptop and clicked on it I followed the instructions and rested tge laptop but I'm not seeing it in tge device manager

There must be a hardware problem with the Realtek RTL8723DE Wi-Fi adapter if it is not listed under the Network Adapters device manager category and indicating present and working.
