HP Notebook – 15s-dq0898nf unable to connect to WLAN
01-17-2021 04:16 AM

My HP Notebook – 15s-dq0898nf is unable to connect to any wireless networks. The network is shown just fine in the list of available networks, but when connecting to the wireless network it just tells me that it is unable to connect. I have tried three different wireless networks with the same result. I have checked all three networks with other PC´s, they connect just fine.
For your information, the wireless networking has worked without issues on the laptop for more than a year, then boom, all of a sudden it does not work at all.
Another piece of information, the problem started right after a windows update, I think to version 1909. I am able to connect via a phone connected on USB. I have update the WLAN driver via HP support assistant, but that did not help. The current driver for the network adapter is 2024.0.10.214.
I hope you can help, as I have run out of ideas to try out.
Thanks in advance

Hi:
The only suggestion In can offer would be to update the wifi and bluetooth drivers to their latest versions and see if that helps any.
Wifi: 2024.0.10.220

Bluetooth: 1.8.1030.3010

You're very welcome.
Sorry that driver didn't work for you but I point out that you indicated that the driver you had installed was 2024.0.10.214, not .218.
Here is the right file download with version .220
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp111001-111500/sp111389.exe
