HP Omen CE-030tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

I hope you are doing well. I purchased HP Omen few months ago from local authorized distributor.

I am having same issues mentioned in the following article

5Ghz SSID issue

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/HP-Omen-Wifi-Does-Not-Show-5GHz-SSID-...

High Ping Issue

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Wireless-and-Networking/WIFI-problem-ping-latency-is-high-Rea...

I have really lost trust on HP. I never expected of using cheap WiFi Card and this experience after paying fortune.

Internet is very important as we all use for every day work, if its not reliable then its a great headache.

I though HP Omen is high quality product but it seems its opposite.

I need to know what should I do now? as RTL8822BE is not working what so ever. Any better WiFi Cards under warranty?

Looking Forward,

Engineer Khawaja

AND possibly there could be either of these fitted

Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 9560 802.11 AC 2×2 WiFi + BT 5 Combo Adapter  L22634-001

You state it's the RTL version.

Could you please try...

Copy and Paste into Notepad, save as LBB.bat and double click to run.
Post anything relevant please.

Thanks for prompt response.

When I run the file this is response on all the commands

'getmac' is not recognized as an internal or external command,

Yes it is RTL 88222BE 802.11ac.

So it is fitted as per my understanding

Realtek RTL8822BE 802.11 AC 2×2 WiFi + BT 4.2 Combo Adapter  915623-001

Perhaps you should try and get a warranty issue raised?

Yes I am using windows 10 and still same error.

I need to know is Intel 9560 is better than RTL8822BE or not.

What is procedure to change under warranty?

Hi

After working on this issue for several weeks and testing dozen of devices I came to conclusion the my WiFi Card Works in 5ghz in UNII 1 and 2 band.

It doesnt work in UNII 3 band. And all smartphone in my area works in UNII 3 Band so either I can connect smartphone or HP Omen Laptop to my router in 5GHZ Frequency.

Since I cannot change WiFI Module inside smartphone, so I am asking better replacement module for HP Omen that can work in UNII 3 band as well so I can connect all device to one router.

Please advice.
