Pavilion 15-e078sa
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all!

I have an HP Pavilion 15-e078sa and I wish to upgrade the internal WiFi card so that I can pick up 5Ghz on the laptop. Ive looked online and suggestions for other models suggest alternative cards are listed in the manual but they arent that I can see for mine.

If it makes a difference the current card is a Realtek RTL8188EE which Ive opened the laptop to find it already has 2 antenna's although Im told the compatibility is down to the laptop hardware, not the existing WiFi card.

Anyway, any help appreciated. Would rather this than a USB receiver but if I cant get any answers then I guess that will be the alternative option.

Thanks,

Rob

Hi, Rob:

For your model, you can upgrade to this card...

Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 802.11 ac 2x2 WiFi + BT 4.0    HP Part # 710661-001

The card is available on Amazon or eBay.

Search by the part number, not the model of the wifi card.
