15-p147ne
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hey guys!  I bought HP Pavilion 15-p147ne laptop. The wifi is always quite slow on it because it has a 2.4GHz adapter installed.  I want to upgrade the wifi adapter card inside to a 5GHz wifi card

What adapter is compatible to get 5GHz wifi

Please suggest me some high-speed card.

See p. 4 of the Manual here:

Manual

See p. 86 for "how to" and this model is not real easy to get at the wireless module.

HP only offered one dual band 2.4 + 5 ghz module and it is only for AMD processor models.

However, your laptop has no whitelist so you can install any wireless card of the right form factor.

Form factor:

mini-pcie form factor half heightmini-pcie form factor half height

This Intel AC-7260 is the best device made in that form factor...it does 2.4 or 5 ghz communication and Bluetooth, too.
