That's up to you if you want to go through the trouble to completely disassemble the notebook including the display panel to add the second antenna wire if it is missing.

The dual antenna kit you need can be found in chapter 3 of the service manual on page 22.

Antennas (includes wireless antenna cables and transceivers; includes Mylar screw covers)   HP part #809008-001

You may want to open up the notebook first and see if it already has two antenna wires installed.

It doesn't hurt to check because if you look at the parts list, it indicates your notebook does come with two antenna wires.

Hi:

The only Wi-Fi card you can upgrade to would be this one (1 x 1 Wi-Fi 5):

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.

The card has a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS on the 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi band with an AC router and an excellent signal.

You can find this model on eBay, or Ali Express.

I see some Intel 3165 cards listed on the eBay listings, so don't buy those.

RTL8821CE - Buy RTL8821CE with free shipping on AliExpress

On the Ali Express listings, make sure the card has the HP Part # of 915620-001.

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the Wi-Fi card removal and replacement procedure:

 thanks for the reply.

You're very welcome.

The reason the RTL8852AE Wi-Fi card won't work is because your notebook only has one Wi-Fi antenna wire and the RTL8852AE card needs two antenna wires in order to work properly.

Hi, how about buying additional antennas? Sorry to be such an A..😅

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.

Please post back and let us know if the Realtek Wi-Fi 6 card worked.

I know the RTL8821CE does.
