I just brough a HP Pavilion g4-1212tx Notebook  yesterday and i cant get it to online... the notebook was freedos so i installed my window seven ultimate. the notebook does come with driver disc i searched hp website and i found this link:

There are too many selection for network driver i not sure which was the actual one for my notebook 😛

 

Network card: Integrated 10/100 BASE-T Ethernet LAN

 

Anyone help please?

Hi,

 

Download and install the Broadcom driver on the link below.

 

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp53501-54000/sp53663.exe

 

After the installation has completed, restart the notebook and let me know if this installed Ok.

Thanks for replying.

 

I had installed the driver and restarted the notebook i still cant get it online O.o i had HP Connection Manager it writes Disabled by device manager what should i do now?

Hi,

 

Open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Network Adapters - list all the devices showing here and whether there are yellow warning icons against an entry.

 

Also let me know the full version of the operating system ( ie Windows 7 32bit ).

Hi,

 

First, download and install the Chipset driver on the link below.

 

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp52501-53000/sp52791.exe

 

After this installation has completed, restart the notebook.

 

When windows has reloaded, go back into Device Manager - for any still unidentified/Other devices from the list in your last post, do the following:

 

Right click on the problem device and select Properties.  Click the Details tab, choose Hardware Ids from the dropdown box and post back with the details shown under Value.  Post back with these details for each device.
