HP ProBook 4540s drivers for Linux

Hello.

I bought few days ago laptop HP ProBook 4540s H5J36EA.

It has preinstalled SUSE 11 SP2 on it, but I would like feel to free, and using other linux's versions - e.g. Mint, Ubuntu ...

The problem is in drivers - Bluetooth not working, FNKeys (brightness) not working, trigger Wi-Fi and touchpad not working (for on/off).

I tried to install rs3290 drivers from this forum: AskUbuntu, but bluetooth still not working.

Here is hardware info: 4540s lspci -vvnn

Any help ?

Best regards.

Re: HP ProBook 4540s drivers for Linux

Hello.

I found this topic: Ubuntu 12.04 Bluetooth rt3290 and then following to Ubuntu Bug Report I understand, that prblem with Bluetooth is in OS Kernel and Ralink drivers. So, I just need to wait for changes.

All others problem I just resolved. But still is the problem with control diode, but nevermind.

Thanks for reply.

Best regards.

Hi, this problem is not solved. Instead of Ubuntu I've installed Windows 7 and all functions works great.
